  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  • 1 ½ teaspoons minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil
  • ⅛ teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons light soy sauce
  • ¾ lb skinless chicken breast cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon and 1 ½ teaspoons potato starch
  • 1 ½ teaspoons rice flour
  • Oil for frying
  1. Mix the salt, pepper, eggs, sugar, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and bouillon in a large bowl.
  2. Add the chicken and stir to coat.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for half an hour.
  4. Add the rice flour and potato starch to the meat and mix well to coat the chicken.
  5. Heat the oil to 365 degrees F in a large skillet or deep fryer and add the chicken.
  6. Fry until golden brown. Cook the meat in batches to keep the oil hot.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
