Gourmet Southern Fried Chicken Recipe
Ingredients -
3 lbs chicken
¾ cup all purpose flour
1 minced clove garlic
¾ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons McCormick Season-All
Shortening, to fry
Preparation:
Cut the chicken into pieces and soak it for 30 minutes in the buttermilk.
Mix the garlic, pepper, Season-All and flour together, then coat the chicken in it.
Heat the oil in a skillet over a medium heat then add the chicken.
Cover the skillet and cook the chicken for 15 minutes.
Turn it over and cook it on the other side until it is cooked through and golden brown all over.
Drain it on a paper towel and serve hot.
